Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Dr. Patrick's office located?

Dr. Patrick's office is located at 200 W B St, Suite 110 in the Pueblo Union Depot Annex. You may park in the back of the building (by the train tracks) and enter directly into the office from there. Dr. Patrick is currently located in Osteopathic Medicine of Pueblo - Dr. Sarah Housman's office.

Can Dr. Patrick be my PCP (primary care physician?)

Although Dr. Patrick is board-certified in family medicine, Integrative Medicine of Pueblo is a specialty practice in integrative medicine. We do require that you maintain your PCP for routine screening exams as well as for urgent situations requiring immediate care or hospitalization. Dr. Patrick is happy to work collaboratively with your PCP and any medical specialists.

What should I do in case of emergencies or urgent situations?

Integrative Medicine of Pueblo does not provide emergency room services or in-patient hospital care. It is important that you maintain your primary care provider (PCP) for routine examinations and for urgent or emergent medical situations.

What if I arrive late or miss my appointment?

Please try to arrive as close to your appointment time as possible. If you arrive late to your appointment, your appointment will end at the scheduled time, resulting in a shortened appointment time. If you are greater than 15 minutes late, you will be asked to reschedule and return another time.

We understand that emergencies happen. If you need to reschedule prior to 1 day before your appointment, you may do this online or call. If you need to reschedule your appointment less than 24 hours in advance, please call the office. If you do not notify us that you will need to reschedule, you will be charged a $50 no-show fee for the first missed appointment. If you miss a second appointment without notifying our office, you will be charged the entire amount of the missed visit.

How do I get lab work that Dr. Patrick orders completed?

There are several ways to get your laboratory testing completed. For basic labs, you may arrange through your PCP’s office under your insurance (IM of Pueblo cannot guarantee coverage, so you may have to discuss with your insurance company prior to completing them). For more comprehensive or specialized testing, we are contracted through Rupa Health. For these labs, Dr. Patrick will place the order and you will receive an email with instructions on paying for the labs and getting the lab kit shipped to you. If needed (i.e. for blood and serum labs), Rupa can help coordinate where to get phlebotomy (bloodraw) completed.

What are Integrative Medicine of Pueblo’s Office Hours?

Dr. Patrick sees patients by appointment on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.

If I have already seen Dr. Patrick for an integrative medicine consult and want osteopathic manipulative treatment, will I need to pay the full new patient OMT price?

No, if you have established care with Dr. Patrick for integrative medicine and would like to schedule an OMT visit, you will be charged the follow-up OMT price.

What if I don’t want to schedule online?

No problem! You can call our office and we will return your call within 1 business day to schedule an appointment over the phone.

Do you take my insurance?

Dr. Patrick is an out-of-network provider and does not directly bill your medical insurance. At the end of each appointment, you may request a superbill (medical receipt) that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits (Medicare and Medicaid are not included in this). Additionally, if you have one, we can accept payment through your health savings account (HSA) or flexible spending account (FSA). As a small practice, this model allows us to provide the best care possible while maintaining low overhead.

What if I have Medicare?

Dr. Patrick is happy to see patients on Medicare. However, federal regulations mandate that Medicare will not pay for care you receive from “opt-out providers” such as Dr. Patrick, and patients are responsible for the entire cost of their care.

What if I have Health First Colorado?

Unfortunately, state-law prohibits us from treating members of Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid Program). By becoming a patient with Integrative Medicine of Pueblo, you affirm that you are not a member of Health First Colorado.

What should I bring to my appointment?

For your first appointment, please bring your completed new patient paperwork as well as any pertinent medical testing already completed (labs, x-rays, MRIs, etc).

How should I dress for my appointment?

For integrative medicine consults, you may wear whatever you would like. For osteopathic manipulative treatment, please wear loose, stretchy clothing.
